Yeah so I start the game...it goes to the lil TV like view screen and then it says the company name and then nothing...FalloutNV has stopped working...

Seems to be the standard Steam: "Hey thanx for your money here is a broken game!"

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this it would be most appreciated...I have already tried all the normal fixes and none have worked so...yeah...

I have tried all the normal fixes as well and nothing. Same issue, I start the game and it crashes to "FalloutNV has stopped working".

Try uninstall your Codecs software, like K-Lite.

If it works, try using other codecs software, like Win7Codecs or Vista Codecs.

For no discernible reason it works now...all i did differently was go to options on the launcher and change it to windowed mode...then i restarted and then magically it started working...I think it might have been a fluke though im not sure...let me know if this in fact worked for anyone else.
