Big Red Exclamation Point

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:24 am

Hey all, didn't have time to check the rest of the forum to see if anyone else had this problem nor do I care to check, but I went ahead and put a silencer on my weathered 10mm pistol from the classic pack...and then WAM my guy has a huge red and white exclamation point surrounding his body. anyone know how to get rid of it or is it a permanent thing. Maybe even remove the silencer at a work bench? Anything, someone gimme a shout.

I was looking around the forums after posting my bugs and your having the same problem as some 360 players, so far there is no way to fix it other then waiting for a patch or not modding the wethered 10mm.

This sounds like exactly the same bug that plagued Fallout 3 after its release on PC and 360. I think it was down to missing data or something. There are videos of it on YouTube.

So not only does New Vegas have its own bugs, but it seems to have re-introduced some which were eliminated in Fallout 3. It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

When I used the G.E.C.K. for Fallout 3 on PC, the big red Exclamation Point would appear if there was a file being used that wasn't connected to a skin or some other form of data.

Basically, that combination of weapon et al. into the new silenced pistol probably wasn't skinned by the Devs and the big Exclamation Point is a reminder to them (or the person using the editor) that they need to skin it before shipping it. Unfortunately, they shipped before they skinned.

Skinning > Shipping

Same problem from adding a laser sight to it. Started a new thread/poll. Really unfortunate they didn't catch this, hope they patch it asap.

yeah... i noticed the same thing once i put extended mags on my weathered 10mm... i reloaded a past save without the mags equipped and the exclamation mark was gone so i would assume theat taking off the mags at a workbench would have similar results.
