Help with my build?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:29 am

I decided that instead of just choosing anything like I did in Fallout 3 I was actually going to try to plan out and have a clear idea of what I wanted before I started playing. I want to make an Unarmed/Boxer type character and see if I can play the game using the boxing gloves through the whole game. I have no idea what I should do in terms of SPECIAL points and perks though. I was wondering if anyone could give me some useful tips as to what I should put my points into and what my perks and traits should be.

Strength and endurance are very important.

As for perks, I suppose 2 ranks in Toughness, Stonewall (req 6End, 6 Str), Super slam (knockdown chance, prereq. 45 meelee, 6 Str), Piercing Strike (unarmed 70), Unstoppable force (works for both melee and unarmed attacks, prereq. 90 melee, 7 Str), Purifier, Paralyzing Palm (unarmed 70), Ninja (Melee 80, sneak 80), Slayer (unarmed 90, Agility 7). Those are all the ones that complement unarmed attacks. 5 extra perks as you please.

So you need at least 6 endurance, 7 agility and 7 strength for these. I would even recommend going for 9 str, and as high endurance, then agility, as you can get. Strength will give you damage, endurance will allow you to survive long enough for the fight.
Skillwise, train up unarmed, melee (because a lot of good perks for unarmed have the melee prerequisite), maybe sneak - though it would be out of your character, so whatever you like goes here).
