Enclave Armor issues

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:27 am

Hello at all... I'm New at the official forum

i have installed Fallout NV and search for a Enclave Mod.
but for a test i use the console commands

i type player.additem 000340DE 1 (Enclave Officer Armor)
and player.additem 0006B465 1 (Tesla Helmet)

and the result is this: http://www.imagebam.com/image/1e4734103154824

why is the left arm displayed incorrectly?
I don't have installed any Mods.
Can someone Repair this? or how can i repair this?
I want to Run in Vegas with this gear and i don't have skills about models and textures.

I hope someone can Help & regrads

EDIT:
Okay I found the Issue.... it is ONLY when you choose a female character.

don't know what it is.... but for me it is a BIG FAIL from developers.... very bad
Hope they fixed in the future or i want my money back -.-

by the looks of it, it's either missing a piece of the mesh or then the textures are linked incorrectly. You need to look a the mesh in Nifscope and see if its missing a mesh that activates when you have pip-boy on or if the mesh is there then you need to look at the texture path if its wrong or not.

I can see this for you but you have to wait till tomorrow for that since new vegas is released here only at 22nd or toss me the mesh, but im not sure if its allowed.....

Just because something was in Fallout 3 does not necessarily mean that it is available in Fallout New Vegas. Yes, there are lingering artifacts - heck, you can find Oblivion references... but that does not necessitate that all graphics from Fallout 3 was rolled up into the New Vegas build. Therefore, I fail to see how this "a "BIG FAIL" from the developers?"

but why they insert it in New Vegas?
Is it requiered for the story or side-quests?
if not, why they have insert it?
if so why it have a bug?

if it is not needed, it is for nothing in the game.
for whatever reason
when it is needed it should not be faulty.
at least not a small error like this

no offense but....this is my opinion

@SystemShock
are you sure?
i opened it with GECK and NifSkope, it is the same as male mesh
I have reworked it in GECK but it is same effect

it is only the female character.

When you open things in the GECK and nifSkope, you can see the dismember meshes, which are probably covering that section of the arm. In game, the dismember meshes don't show up until, well, the body is dismembered.

edit: yep, just confirmed it. It is missing the pipboyon mesh. The .nif that comes with FO3 doesn't have it either.

It was not inserted in New Vegas, it never left. Obsidian has designed Fallout New Vegas by using Fallout 3 as a base. As such many assets that were in Fallout 3 are still available in Fallout New Vegas; even if they are not used or do not work as they once did in Fallout 3. Even Fallout 3 had models and such that were not used in the game anywhere, but they were still available (sometimes with missing meshes/textures).

Maybe these Enclave items aren't even used anywhere in Fallout New Vegas (which wouldn't surprise me, as Obsidian used the more original versions of Enclave armor in New Vegas). As such there was no need to check them or fix any potential bugs.

So it is more of a legacy of the past; a treasure throve for those interested in uncovering unused objects and items ;)
