Achievements/trophy's

So, in Dead Money we got some new achievements (Trophy's further down the line).
But I thought the achievements were like in New Vegas too easy.

Assemble Your Crew Recruit Dean Domino, Christine and Dog 20 N/A
Cash Out Confront Father Elijah in the Sierra Madre's Vault 30 N/A
Having a Ball Complete the Sierra Madre Gala Event 20 N/A
Safety Deposit Box Trap Father Elijah in the Sierra Madre's Vault 40 N/A
Sierra Souvenir Aficionado Collect 500 Sierra Madre Chips 30 N/A

Assemble your crew is something everyone will get, I would NOT consider that to be an "achievement" as it's part of the storyline.
Cash Out is also something almost everyone will get.
Same with Having A Ball, and Sierra Souvenir Aficionado.

The only one I would consider an achievement is Safety Deposit Box and even that one isn't particularly hard to get.

So, in future DLC's, what kind of achievements would you want to have?
What achievements did you think the main game "should" have had?
And what kind of achievements did you think Dead Money should have had?
Were you satisfied with the achievements in Dead Money and Vanilla?

For Dead Money I've got:
* Complete the entire DLC without killing any of the main characters or any of the Ghost people. (It is possible with high speech, barter and sneak skills. (Father Elijah is the exclusion of course if you trap him.)
* Complete the entire DLC without using a single healing item. (Best avoid the traps, ghost people, gas and move fast. :whistling: , hmm, maybe allow 10 healing items as I'm not sure if it's possible to complete this DLC without using a single one since the health is ALWAYS ticking down..)
* Deactivate every single trap, security hologram, and speaker/radio that is possible to be deactivated in Dead Money.
* Find every vendor code.
* Break the casino bank.

For the main game I've got:
* Assassinate Caesar, Papa Khan, Colonel Hsu, Elder McNamara, Major Knight, Aureleius Of Phoenix and The King and escape without anyone noticing you did the deed.
* After completing a quest kill the quest giver with a blade in 10 seconds.
* Mod every weapon in the game.
* Become vilified by every faction in the game.
* Complete every companions personal quests in one playthrough.

For future DLC's it depends on what kind of content they have but screw it:
* Complete the DLC without anyone dying.
* Have Burned Man join you as a companion.
* Complete the DLC without Ulysses dying.
* Have Ulysses join you as a companion.

(I expect Burned Man and Ulysses to be hard to convince to join the PC and I expect Ulysses to have a part in his story where it's designed that he dies unless you do something to stop it.)

I thought modding every weapon was already an achievement? Not sure though, I haven't managed it yet. I prefer these kinds of achievements as opposed to ones that you just kind of stumble across or have to do in order to progress along the storyline. I love the idea of an "assassinator" achievement - what about one for pacifists? Like maybe completing a certain amount of quests choosing the peaceful/nonviolent route.

Yeah there should be one for pacifists.
But the modding one is "Mod weapons 20 times".
And while I've never modded more than around 11 times (Did mod 20 times in order to get the achievement though) I still find 20 too little to be an achievement.

I dont think you can mod every weapon in game, so changing that to Mod every modable weapon in game might be more achieveable.

Perfectionist power! :P

But... What if "every" weapon "had" a mod. O_o
Trice the fun! :turned:

I am surprised the five cards were not an achievement (even though one could just drop and pick the same one over and over. Could be fixed if they're quest items that do not drop until the end of the DLC). There was also Dean's stashes, which could have been another achievement right there.

Another possible achievement could have been the gold bars, such as leaving with at least a certain number at the end. It could have been something like:

"Couldn't let go - 25gsp"

"Left the Sierra Madre with at least 8 gold bars (35 weight x 8 bars = 280 pounds).

There was more than enough room for those (limit for achievement DLC is 12, and score is 250).

Hopefully future DLC's will have more "exploring" type achievements along with the main quest ones.
