One of my favourite places to hang-out on the interwebs, have been talking to various experts, and have A) confirmed it is a real creature, B) that it is either a kind of slime mold or bryozoans or collection of tubifex worms, fascinating and gross :DUntill a scientist officially identifies it, I am sticking with 'Its a Shoggoth!
