Del Toro And Btmom

here is an interesting interview with GDT, also of interest is that it rates his future projects according to likelyhood, (measured in numbers of unicorn heads) and unfortunately Beneath the mountains of madnes scores only two :(http://www.wired.com/entertainment/hollywood/magazine/17-06/mf_deltoro?currentPage=2

He said on The Late Late Show that he had been to Europe location-scouting for AtMoM so that could be a good sign.

Good interview ! -But since no Lovecraft story has ever transferred well to the screen (except maybe The Shuttered Room), I remain sorta skeptical. Lol, in anyplace non-arctic, the frost-breath/frost-in-facial-hair problem could be an FX nightmare. John Carpenter's The Thing set the 'Antarctica'-bar pretty high.

yeah, thats because they took the simple and practical solution to the problem by just simply really freezing their actors crew and equipment :D very realistic because it was very real.

The logistics of filming in the Alps is still pretty hectic, they will probably rather fake a lot of the environments in CG and models rather and film the rest in a studio, if you have seen the documentary of how they made 'the thing' you'll agree, since they had such huge problems moving equipment on frozen roads, people getting ill from the cold and it being too cold for the cameras to work to name but a few of the perils of filming in actual conditions like that :o

Hope hope hope hope...I wouldn't mind too much if they basically painted in all the Antarctica backgrounds in CGI, although it would be nice if only the monsters and city were CGI (because then we get a blend of the "real" and the unimaginable in the same shot).
