Carb-9 best light weapon

Carb-9???

pshh you obviously haven't spend time with the Tampa faster reload, better recoil,
the only thing that is bad about the Tampa is the huge Hip fire

but the tampa is not really meant for a Primary
I always use it on my Med class as a secondary

but the Carb-9 is a really good primary but I always slap on a foregrip

but Bulpdaun with DT mags are the my go to weapon

I'm sticking with my Bolgo - although a rapid-fire Ritchie isn't bad...

Ehhh the Ritchie with rapid fire, is a little too much recoil for me to handle

and I agree the Bolgo with Ext mag and Muzzle brake.... EPIC

Ritchie's are good and all, but their hip fire recoil is so ridiculous that I stick to the Sea Eagle, which has decent hip recoil and nearly does as much damage with an extra 4 shots per clip.

This. I also slap an adjusted iron sight on it because I like that more too.

Does the adjusted iron sight have any noticeable disadvantages? From what I can tell it doesn't, and most weapons have fairly clear sights too, somewhat making the more advanced ones moot.

all it does is not make you zoom in when you ADS

when you ADS it has a little bit of zoom
but adjustable iron sights take out the zoom
giving you a better FOV when shooting

Which personally I prefer, their aren't many consistent long ranged areas that require a scope, making iron sights more effective.

Regular ironsights can be more effective at longer ranges if you're using a higher sensitivity - the zoom makes distant targets that little bit more visible. Mid-range and closer, if you're good at aiming, the adjusted ironsights help by allowing you to keep your full field of vision while still improving your weapon accuracy - especially valuable in enclosed spaces and when fighting multiple enemies.

Carb-9 is the best weapon in the game hands down to me. I have tested every gun with various weapon attachments and I have yet to find one I would rather use. The AR's just seem underpowered compared to the SMG's (especially Carb-9). They are better for extreme long range, but most of the time I'm moving while firing or can close the distance pretty easily and Carb-9 can take people down faster than an AR. It has solid range, very accurate hip-fire, and more ammunition. It's just a more versatile deadly weapon to me.

Tampa is horrendously inaccurate so basically only useful for absolute point blank and ambushes.
Buldapun is the most effective at longer ranges and has the biggest accuracy bonus from iron sights, so gives decent mid range and short range ability
Galatic is next most accurate and iron sight bonus
Kross and Carb 9 are best at normal smg range and all around
Only buldapun and maybe galactic get any noticeable bonus from ironsights.

I was messing around with the medium GL + tampa as backup so basically when they see you have a gl they will try and rush you down, right into the ideal range of the tampa, or if you fire a grenade into their cover a lot of time they will try and run out at you into tampa range again. Going to try the heavy equivalent which I guess would be auto gl + rhett and drum clip

I like to hipfire with the Tampa. I pretty much just tap the button and it seems to do pretty well, but I need to playtest it more. I like guns with heavy recoil that require burst firing.

So apparently the Carb-9 is the best all-rounder, the Steyr TMP aka Tampa smg is the best close-range sprayer ( this and the SCAR-H aka Rokstedi AR for half-sniping I use), the Bulpdaun is basically a smaller assault rifle, Vector is most accurate it seems, and UMP-45 aka Galactic is all-rounder too but with a little more accuracy.

+1 point to all who experimented with each weapon the second they started the game.

I am running a medic right now, staying just behind the front lines. I am not going to go for a sniper but I tested an AR to truly get a feel for it.

Rhett with silencer, coga scope, nubetube(Granade launcher) and duct tape mags.

Secondary is my trusty Carb 9 with drum mag, foregrip, adjusted iron sights, and muzzle flash.

The Rhett when used to its advantage. Short bursts at range through the scope... seriously deadly. The RoF is high enough to take down a heavy if they are not VERY quick to get out of my LOS. Only problem is usually can only take 2 down before I have to reload.

Should someone get close enough so I lose the range advantage... the Carb can take 3-4 down before reloading with the drum and foregrip. I am seriously loving this combo.

I've tried all the guns and i do best with the carb-9... and ive noticed for all you out there that love this gun if you have the fallout DLC you can carb-9 for both weapons. just select the fallout skin for one slot and the normal one for the second. this can be done with the bulp as well for those of you interested in that.

I thought this might be the case.

On a related topic - can you customise both weapon variants separately, so you can have two Bulpdauns/CARB-9s with totally different attachment setups?

no weapon is the best evr. 'best' is a matter of perspetive. The CARB-9 is my favorite SMG because when i get into close-quarters combat, i can put down most enemies with a sustained burst while moving. As such, I always have it equipped, and useit for most the game. Still experimenting with other weapons. Tampa isn't bad, but it doesn'thavethemid-range performance of the CARB-9.

I love my Fallout-skinned Carb-9 SMG. It's my favorite SMG. I have attachments on it mine though, one of the red dot sights, a muzzle, the front grip and max capacity mag. Works great for me.

I'm stuck as to what I should use for a secondary weapon though. I might take your idea, Ares60. I like my Carb-9 so much I may use the normal as a secondary and mix up some different attachments for it.

It's all about that phrase, "I do best with..." - personally, the Galactic is my go-to gun. I can, in a good run, take down 4 - 5 enemies before reloading (with high capacity magazines).

There is a best if there's an imbalance. However, BRINK seems to be very well balanced after experimenting more.

Yes you can do this
I have the doom pack and you can costomize Bulpdaun/Carb-9s
i have one Bulpdaun with DT mags Yeotek , and speed sling
and the other with Ext mags, grip, and muzzle brake
