Both of my companions-Ed-E and Boone-are set to follow me, closely. Boone is doing what he's supposed to, there, but Ed-E won't. And it's not simply because he's being blocked by a vault door(This happened to me in Vault 34. I had to make him wait-because the first time when I didn't, after which something went wrong a while after and I was informed he had died.). He'll appear wherever I fast travel, like he's supposed to, but then I'll walk away and he won't follow. He'll just float in the spot he fast traveled to-I tried to leave the area through a door(from Freeside to New Vegas, and I fast traveled to the Strip's entrance before that) and see if he'd follow, but he won't.

Does anyone know why this is happening, or how to fix it(if it doesn't fix itself)?

An Update: The glitch seemed to fix itself, but this has happened once or twice-so if anyone has any solutions/answers, it may be useful in future.

Try to part ways and then ask him to rejoin- might fix the glitch by resetting the user settings.
