Come on developers of a broken game, as a thank you for buying a broken game and waiting for new patches instead of trading in i think you should release the first DLC for free as an appology. Its the least we deserve. Why am i not trading in? Its because i can see the potential of a great game here, i am currently pissing about in game with no quests so i dont spoil main quest for myself for my eventual bug free playthrough?

Yeah and that would have glitches as well lets face it we are never going to get rid of glitches in this game

Bethesda and Obsidian are literally criminal organizations and we've all been victims of fraud.

And you could actually prove this in a court of law? I sincerlly doubt it.

Throwing accusations around like that is hardly sensible.

If you could show evidence that they had knowledge of the issues and realeased a faulty product - Maybe but unlikely.

Some countries have consumer protection laws, but in the USA it is mostly Buyer Beware...

Actually, it's like that pretty much everywhere. The rules have Law are still fairly vague when it comes to the video games industry. Still a lot of loopholes and poorly worded descriptions.

They should. They haven't apologized at all, only said "patches are coming". The only patch they put out didn't fix anything for me.....

in all seriousness, i think all that they really owe us is some clear information on what they are doing to fix all the bugs...sadly they haven't even done that.

So if they would have had a sticker on the game saying "there may be glitches" people would have still complained and bought the game, yeah some of the glitches are bad but that does not take way how much fun this game is, i just save more.

I am willing to bet that there are more people with issues than without.

I wouldn't say free DLC but half price for the first month would be a good way of apology, as long as they fix the damn issued before releasing it.

Criminal? No. Massively incompetent? VERY!

The problem is that for the software company to give away free stuff as an apology would mean that the company would have to accept liability for the problem in the first place. They will never do that. They will aknowledge that a 'few' people had 'slight issues' with the game and they will patch it to redress the problem. There is no way they will accept liability for a complete balls-up of this magnitude.

I refer you to EA and FIFA 10 which had a much lauded manager mode which had a massive game breaking bug in it. David Rutter, the lead developer commented that the bug was something that happened to 'a very few people whenever the stars misaligned' despite the huge amount of complaints on the forums. It was deemed that they would not even release a patch to fix it.
Its easy to walk away from problems when you are on the other side of the world and laying on a huge pile of cash.
