Just a quick warning to anyone having issues with entering the strip due to the "Debt Collector" quest bug and have resolved it by wearing an Old Cowboy Hat on entering the strip.
Whatever you do, DO NOT SAVE IN THE STRIP... especially if you have auto-save turned off.

I put over 50-hours of play into my game and i saved over my old file whilst i was in the strip, i also have auto-save turned off. now when trying to load that save it completely crashes and i've completely lost that game. so for your own sanity DON'T save in the strip.

I dismissed my followers and was able to enter The Strip without the Old Cowboy Hat. I then walked into the Lucky 38 and saved. Now I'm stuck in there and get the crash when I try to leave.

The whole situation is [censored]. There really is no safe way to play unless you totally ignore that quest.
