With Honest Hearts so close to release all our questions will soon be awnsered. It's time to speculate on OWB.
Here's what we know about it.

"In Old World Blues, releasing in June,you will discover how some of the Mojave’s mutated monsters came to be when you unwittingly become a lab rat in a science experiment gone awry. You’ll need to scour the Pre-War research centers of the Big Empty in search of technology to turn the tables on your kidnappers or join forces with them against an even greater threat."

Become a lab rat? what does that mean? are we going to get some kind of power, or transform like in morrowind when you turn into a warewolf?

Turn the tables on your kidnapper or join forces? Jeez, the courier isnt very good at not getting kidnapped is he? guess we wont be taking any equipment then.
Who are these kidnappers? Brotherhood? Enclave? but more important what is this "greater" threat? Aliens? A.I? House's brother (i can remember somebody saying he could be kept inside the big empty for some reason) ?

Mutated monsters? Nightstalkers are new to the mojave it said in game, so i guess they are one of them? Cazadors? Could Deathclaws be there?
I'm sure we will have more awnsers and questions when HH comes out.

I'm going to cry if it's going to be Brotherhood or Enclave again. I try so hard to kill all of them, but somehow they keep popping their heads up :cryvaultboy:

It is most likely the Enclave as they had little actual appearance in New Vegas and we all know they still exist...somewhere. I could care less who it is all I know is that I'm looking forward to finding out. I am curious about the fact that there will be two enemies. My guess is that one of them is a group separate from any factions in the universe that are known,

Considering we the players have probably already been given a hint to what or who is behind all of this people might want to start looking. It would be just like Bethesda to give us clues (burned man for example is mentioned, as is Elijah from Dead Money, and Ulysseus from the future Lonesome Road. It only makes sense for the person behind Old World Blues to also have been mentioned in passing in the game. House's brother is the only thing I've heard that could be possible so far but then most probably not been looking.

The mention of a lab rat makes me think that the Courier is going to be put in a maze-type scenario.

We get to discover how some of the creatures of the mojave came to be...this can mean geckos (only ever seen in Fallout 2 and New Vegas), nightstalkers, or cazadors as all of those creatures are pretty exclusive to New Vegas. My guess is it will be the creation of nightstalkers in Mojave and possibly geckos (fire breathing sounds like experiment gone wrong).

I hope it is Enclave, There harder to exterminate than termites.
I wonder if we have been hinted with who, we should start looking for something that we have missed, well nothing really gets missed on this forum probably dismissed as something else
Lab rat makes me think more of scientific experiments involving probes, needles and probably FEV.
Do you think we could release more creatures from OWB? maybe into the mojave :hubbahubba:

I've never really understood the point of speculation. All it does is serve to hype things up which, inevitably, results in disappointment and anger from all the people who did the speculating.

And... Honest Hearts isn't even out yet and people already want to talk about the next dlc???

why not? why shoulden't we speculate it's a good mental exercice besides i think people are not expecting to see what they imagine in the DLC but still i find it fun to do it anyway
