Weathered 10mm. red ! point!

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:01 am

Well I'm glad I'm not having problems crashing since it seams like many PS3's are. Only problem I have is after modding my 10mm. It doesn't show up, and I get a big red exclamation point. Why would some PS3's crash and others not? Different Modles, old 60, fat 80 and slim? Only other thing I can think of is that I haven't been signed on to the PSN while playing FONV? I figure that the images for the modified 10mm just needs to be added to the game to fix my simple problem. Still perplexed as to why I'm not crashing, guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

that white haze is the exclamation point in a giant red box, go into 3rd person view, you'll see it.

On a side note, I modded my weathered 10mm with a laser scope and I am getting the exclamation point as well.

Yep. I modded with the extra clips and get the same thing.

After messing with it a bit, the gun is still there (though the graphics for it are not) you can still fire, reload, enter V.A.T.S. with it, but the big red box and exclamation mark make it to distracting to continue too use. I've had t put the Weathered in storage until this gets fixed. Soon, I hope?

Same here you get the white haze in first person and the red box/ exclamation point in third. This only happened after I modded the weathered 10mm pistol. I was unaware of the bug and went all out buying the silencer red dot sight and the extended clips. I've also experienced 3 freezes where I had to power down my PS3, female voice for my male character, enemies getting stuck in the side of hills, a plant fell from the sky than fell through the environment and the game seems to have a hiccup as if it's going to freeze since I started playing it. Considering I've had 3 full freeze/lockups this is sad. On my gf's account she's been experiencing the stutter and has had some areas where the ground did not render. I'm hoping any upcoming patches address these issues. I had to update this because rereading this there is another bug I forgot to mention. Apparently the Fallout wiki says this is a known bug but on the Ed-E My Love mission I' took him to Gibson scrap yard and I'm unable to get a new dialog from Old Lady Gibson or trigger any kind of extra dialog from Ed-E. Sigh...

If this is occurring then it is probably because either the game can not find the textures for the gun or one of the programmers forgot to add the textures (which I highly doubt.)

This is usually a PC problem, especially with mods... So I do not know why it is happening on the PS3 Console...

it is dlc, most likely not looked at by the programmers before release, especially being modded, so the game itself is missing the skin, i too have had this problem putting a silencer and extended mags on the gun, i can shoot the gun just can't see it

I also have the same issue. I tried to put a silencer on my Weathered and got milk thrown in my eye...or something.
