Game Ruining Freezing issues

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:07 pm

After reading the forums I know I'm not alone with this issue. It started out my game would freeze about ever half hour into the game, then it was every 10 mintues, then every 5 minutes & now it freeze soon as I take 1 step or turn the camera angle just a little. I tried starting a new game from scratch & that didn't fix anything, tried playing from a different save file & still no luck. Emptied my cache & still does it. I put it other games to make sure it wasn't my system & they all worked fine, & let my system sit for a few hours to make sure it wasn't just over heating. It seems to me from reading on the forums here that with so many people having the same problem as I am that its pretty common....how did this game ever make it to market with such a big flaw?!?! I know they are working on a patch & I hope the patch fixes the freezing issues but the sad fact is, the issue almost makes me not want even play the game anymore at all. No game should need such major patches so soon after launch its just crazy.

Well I fixed my freezing issue it seems...all I had to do was drop the NCR armor I was carrying & now everything is working fine it seems...its only been 10 minutes though so I guess time will tell since before it was freezing at least twice an hour

I have experienced the same game freezing issues almost every 5 mins of playing. I got so sick of restarting my xbox360, installing to HD, removing from HD, and starting the game over that i just put the game down. I have been with the fallout franchise since fallout1 and have stuck by it through some less than perfect renditions of the franchise( ie. ps2 fallout brotherhood of steel, pc fallout tactics) I loved fallout 3, even though there were a few bugs you could still play the game as a new release. When I heard plans for new vegas i was among the first to pre-order the collector's edition game at the game stop near my place of residence. The sad fact is that I can't play this game I anticipated eagerly. I feel like my money would have been better spent on such titles as force unleashed 2 or fable 3. The fact that this game seems like it was released without being fully tested ( or at least lack of DLC testing) is truly disconcerting to say the least. For me this game as it stands now is a $70+ dollar paperweight. In the future it is my hope that gamesas and Obsidian learn a lesson by the massive amounts of unsatisfied customers and only release games that are ready to be played. For the future of Fallout Please Patch this game soon !
