Okay,so I've had the save bug happen to me twice now,it always happens after I do the "Come Fly with me" quest.Every time I reload a save from BEFORE that quest,it works just fine.So that quest is probably one of the sources of this bug.

Anyone else try this?

I can confirm that it was the last quest I did before the issue happened. I have a save about 6 hours before it that works but that doesn't really help because that's a long time.

I've been hearing a lot about the space suit in the come fly with me quest. Did you pick that up on all instances? I'm not home right now, but I wonder if the issue still happens if you don't pick up the space suit.

I too can attest that this glitch happened to me after completing Come Fly With Me. I did pick up the space suit with the intention of selling it, but had not done so before saving and taking a break. Unfortunately, I have no saves prior to the completion of the quest, so it's back to the beginning for me. *sigh*

No it happen to me after i completed the quest and i didn't pick up the space suit so i think it has something to do with the gamestop DLC and where you are in the game or the amount of time spent playing the game

Contrary to what the error says, I've seen people saying that they are getting the issue without using the DLC. So, it's just one big hot mess. Who knows what's going on.

Has anyone tried deleting the DLC and playing and got the save game bug? I decided to start a new character last night (I never had the bug and even though I played 15 hours I wasn't really that far into the game.. I had just arrived at Primm.. but I had done a lot of exploring.) and decided to delete the DLC.. After I deleted the DLC I loaded up an old save game and it loaded fine.. I tried all my saves.. even saves where I was actually wearing the armor.. It still loaded.. My character just wasn't wearing armor. But it seems that if the DLC is the thing truely causing the glitch then the best thing is to delete it and re-download it later when they have it fixed.

A lot of people have tried it but it doesn't work. That's why I think it has nothing to do with the DLC. People who don't own the DLC are getting the error too.

Sabre, it looks like you might be having issues quoting threads. Just hit reply on the thread in question and it should auto quote it for you. You can then type below whatever it is you're trying to quote.

I also did this quest and then had this problem immediately after it.

So as long as we don't complete the the quest we are fine?

I don't know. Maybe? That's assuming it's definitely that quest. If there's no patch by tonight, I'm going to use one of my earlier saves (a good 6 hours earlier...) and work my way back to what I already did. I'll just skip that quest until a patch is released and hope for the best.

I just don't want to pick up the quest accidently and cut my self. Damn I wanted to see some regular ghouls though. Haven't seen one yet.

I'm having this issue too. The last save I am able to load is right before everyone goes down stairs to the rocket. I believe the problem starts after you talk to Chris or the other guy.

The quest comes from the guy named Manny in the Dinosaur statues mouth in Novac. He gives it to you, so if you don't want it, steer clear.

the DLC are the pre-order bonus packs.

Other people who don't have the DLC are getting the same glitch too,so it can't just be the DLC.I didn't pick of the space suit either,so it probably has nothing to do with that.It has to be something with the quest itself.

I could reload and just skip the quest,but I'm too paranoid another glitch will arise since I've heard of other ones (like the one in The Strip).I'm going to play it safe and wait for the patch.Hopefully it will fix this crap.

I also encountered this bug after the come fly with me quest. A lot of people are suspecting the space suit but I did not pick it up. The main items I picked up in this quest were the bumper sword and the hunting revolver. Other than that I picked up the usual sarsaparilla bottles and what not. Killed all enemies in the facility as many people did and that's it. I'm not sure where the bug occurred myself but its somewhere later in the quest well after you get inside the facility, because I loaded saves a couple times after I entered. The place that I encountered the bug was after turning the quest in to Manny, but I hadn't loaded a save for quite a while so I'm not sure.

I do not have the DLC and as I mentioned, did not pick up the space suit, honestly didn't even know about it till I read these forums. So if you guys can, check with the bumper sword and hunting revolver. I cant go investigate myself because all of my saves got destroyed.
