Not playing 'till fix.

I love my PS3.
I love my Fallout.
I just can't play it.
The new patch made the game crash all the time for me, ED-E is still gone, Arcade's quest can't be completed, companions only show up on local map, DLC is a timed exclusive, and ED-E has 5000 caps worth of stuff on him.
The game isn't fun.
I play it and am so irritated, if I imagine the game without any glitches, it's amazing.
The story is great, the world is great, the atmosphere is great, the look fits the world.
BUT THE FREAKING GLITCHES.
Oblivion had better graphics than any fallout, less crashes/glitches, but I hated oblivion.
Fallout is the glitches series I have ever played, but I love it.
Bethesda, please. Next time a game is THIS buggy, just delay it.
I hope Obsidian get's to make the next Fallouts, but if you ever, ever, ever, ever, force any game out the door unfinished again, I'm telling everyone on every forum, real life, on my PS3, everyone whose heard about the game, not to touch it, or anything Beth releases until I get an OFFICIAL apology,

These rants MEAN something, this is the hundredth I'm sure, but we are SPEAKING not just talking, so why don't you LISTEN instead of just hear.

Topics like these get locked because all you're doing is whining like a 10 year old. Games like Fallout are complex, and while New Vegas is far from perfect, constantly starting new complain topics doesn't solve anything. All you do is keep the important threads that actually try to solve issues from being bumped to the top.

there isn't an option for "yes, but still experiencing issues". I think that would be a common one....

and yes, most likely your poll will get closed/locked/maybe "moved" if your lucky. these types of posts I've noticed don't go well with the moderators.

Agreed.

I can honestly say that the patches are gradually improving performance ... for me, anyway.
I'm confident that Obsidian will eventually nail things down, but like FO3 and Oblivion on the PS3, I doubt NV will ever been 100% stable and freeze-free.

I don't want to argue here but that doesn't seem to work either.. It is not like the game was released yesterday.. It has been released for more than 2 months which even though I don't have technical knowledge, I think is more than enough time to fix at least the major bugs. How are they able to release the DLC so fast if it is really so hard to program the game? People don't like to whine like 10-year olds but I think the developers have to respect the money we spent to support them.

I've got to agree. I don't believe they'll put out another patch, but unless they release this game with all DLC I'm not playing again. I was trying to do one final play-through and a perk I selected disappeared so I lost out on a perk. That's uncalled for. I understand the freezing issue can't be fixed, but I've had more freezes post patch than before I installed it. 10 minutes in to the game and 3 times in an hour. I hate complaining, but it's frustrating.

Probably not a realistic question, but does anyone know if performance is better on xbox? I know for sure it was better for FO3 since I played on both consoles.

Some folks from Xbox forum came here asking the same thing, so I'd say its a no.

We may have to accept that in terms of FO:NV, but in reality, that's unacceptable. It's not a game, it's a questionable beta test.

It's not like the PS3 has some set of secret specs the designers aren't allowed to see. It's not like every PS3 user has a 3rd party graphics cards with different drivers, or a different OS, or anything like that.

This is horrible.
Started playing Red Dead, and this is inexcusable. Red Dead has better graphics, game play, a near VATS like targeting system, only missing the story of new vegas.
New Vegas has an amazing story, but when compared side to side with a game that came out before it, this is ridiculous.
Bioware isn't doing this, Oblivion didn't do this, Rockstar isn't doing this, so why should we allow Bethesda to do it?

It's sad to see this game in the hands of such an incompetent developer. Their still using outdated software to make their games, hell, they basically copy and pasted Fallout 3 and made Fallout New Vegas. They should have these bugs, freezes, and glitches fixed by now.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE Fallout. I just wish that Bethesda would smarten up and beta test their games before releasing a giant piece of crap.

They did test and if not then they had to have known of these issues the answer to it all is very simple though GREED! its what the world runs on... it svcks. I applaud companies that still make quality games (ones that work at least what goods a great story if the game is broken?) I wonder if rockstar wants to make FO4 I bet they'd be smart enough to use an adequate engine at least. I'm tired of hearing that "Oh fallout its so complex" Yea but so are a lot of other games and they play just fine I'd be willing to wait longer for a game to be released for it to work properly then sit on my butt waiting for a patch that isn't going to resolve much of anything.
