"stop"...... power off time

Hey Bethesda Softworks I have downloaded the patch for PS3 and have noticed the fixes, but I'm still having alot of freezes??? I have to power off my PS3 and turn it back on,which is aggravating.

Over-heating maybe?
My former xbox which I had for 2 years started overheating from GTA IV.
It died a couple of weeks after repeatable trying to play GTA.
So erm, is your PS3 old or have you mis-treated it in any way? (Dropped it, tipped it over, stuff like that.)
