I'm curious if the size of the television screen you are playing on has any effect on the framerate and freeze issues in this game. I know with computer gaming, your graphics card has a lot to do with how large of a screen you can play on smoothly. More importantly, the amount of RAM on the graphics card. I know if you have a crappy graphics card with less than 1 GB of ram, you won't be able to play on a screen larger than about 15-17" without serious framerate issues and constant freezing. Of course, a few other things factor in here when it comes to the computer gaming... like your processor, your system RAM, the game being played etc etc.

I am playing Vegas on a 50" plasma and my save file is almost 10MB and I cannot play longer than an hour without a total system freeze. I am going to try switching to my 19" tv and see if that makes any difference.

Before my 47" LCD I played on a 19" normal tv and had just as many freezes if not more on the 19". Granted I never played 1.02 on the 19" so maybe it would be better.

I think in terms of consoles the only thing that may help is switching from an HDTV to a standard definition. consoles are a bit different with graphics cards than PC. it's like a universal one or something.
