has anyone figured out how to get this w/out reverse pickpocketing or killing a vet ranger. Whats the logic behind making it so hard to get? It's not a gamebreaker or anything but i really wanted that armor, and not just for the last 45 minutes of the game (didnt get it anyways). Seems pretty logical to make it a quest reward, after you pretty much singlehandedly lead the NCR to victory. consternation aside, did love the game. Already ready for fallour 4

Im not at your point yet, but is probably because getting the PowerArmor in the other game was so easy that people complained about it. In this game i noticed getting Powerarmor, and even combat armor is hard to get (Tons and tons of caps)

i havent had much trouble getting combat armor, and power armor doesnt take to long to get if you get the brotherhood stuff quick. what im complaining about though is that there doesnt seem to be a way to get it without killing a ranger or reverse pickpocketing which can take forever, and can only be done after you get power armor because you need a better set. but i got an idea i a about to try out hopefully it will solve the problem

You can get some NCR branded ranger armor if you do the BOS quest.

I think it's pretty appropriate. Are you a ranger? No. They are the elite of the NCR troops, they aren't going to be just handing out there armor. It's a status symbol really. That's why I like wearing the first recon beret that I somehow got a second one of when I wasn't paying attention. Boone and I now really look like a pair of first recon snipers.

I think the OP is asking about the armor with the helmet, and the red night goggles.
I really hope that some where in the game there is saleable or lootable one. I am playing as part of the NCRs and don't want to steal or kill any of them.

After I got the first rank with NCR after neutral, they gave me a radio to call rangers I assume (haven't tried it yet). I hoped that when I gain more faction points with them, they are going to surprise me with armor suits and even make me one of them. It will be major disappointment if the sweetest suits, like NCR Ranger combat armor and the cowboy suit looking one to be available to NCR enemy players only.

One question, can we join any faction, I mean not only helping, but be a part of them?

same concept applies...your not a recon sniper. boone was, not you. i just like the armor and i wish it was easier to legitimatly get. wish they had built in a quest where you get to become a ranger. again, its not like your not as bad ass as any of the rangers you meet.
