I am thinking of things like floating screens and cryristal clear screens with the date in them. That kinda tech just does not fit fallout. I don't see how PA could have gyroscopic aiming reticules that are projected onto a angled piece of glass behind the visor. In a cockpit of a Mustand but not in a helmet.
Plus it would be a pain in the butt to look at and we will have a pipboy so it would just be sensory overload. Pipboy tells us where to go and Helmet tells us where the bad guys are and how far they are. Why not just have the game shoot for use as well?
lol actually the game does shoot for us as well if you use vats.
Aside from that the point of mentioning the P51 gyroscopic aiming retical being projected onto glass is a point that it could be made in a small enough package to fit inside a fighter plane in the 40`s and that it was made even smaller and offered more data in the 50`s.
Now I am not saying we need a HUD but I am pointing out a HUD isnt one of those things that wouldnt fit fallout.
My idea is get rid of the two eye pieces inside the helmet and have a solid tv screen like panel and the two eyes are cameras that project the image to the inside with zero visability hinderance to the helmet wearer. Makes more sense that a piece of glass or bulletproof glass for the eye pieces, bullet proof glass in the US fighters of WWII werent that effective. Alot of them were penetrated by the 20mm cannon shells from other fighter planes.
