i was wondering if anyone remembers vault 8 from fallout 1 or it might have been 2. any way im pretty sure that it was in nevada , so do u think it will be returning? because it would b awesome 2 see vault 8 because from what i remembered it was a controlled vault and fallout NV needs a vault without any damn mutants/mirulurks/mole-rats/clones

I don't know why people ask for stuff they liked in past games to "return" all you're really asking is the chance to criticise it for being dissapointed its not as great as your imagination through rose tinted glasses made it.

Hope for something new, then you get to just enjoy it without having to go with the popular crowd and claim its not as good as fallout 1 & 2.

There were quite a lot of endings for Vault City in fallout 2, does anyone know which one is considered what actually happens in the fallout timeine?

Vault 8 aka Vault City was from Fallout 2. No it will not be in New Vegas. It's to far to the North. Canon Ending to Fallout 2, Vault City takes over Gecko.

Just so happens I have a saved game just before the end. I was a very good character. Canon Ending.

A control value might be interesting, as long as they did not have a GECK. You could have a ten penny tower kind of thing going on inside the vault where the big wigs lived, and then a megaton style town around the entrance for everyone else.
This many years after the vault was designed to open it would not have a very high capacity to support life.
