Could the upcoming DLC 'Old World Blues' possibly explain Fi

COURIER SMASH BIG FLAME BUG

I don't really care. FIre Ants in West Coast could be natural. Or the Scientist in DC just thought he created them.

lol. Look at how hard your trying.

I choose to smash them cause it was funny but honestly can't we just take it as an accidental mutation just because something is like that does'nt mean that someone made it so.
While I can understand wanting to know why they're there. It isn't such a big deal really.

OMG That s right Fire Ants have no place on the west coast.

Obsidians [censored] writing can be blamed. No matter what the reason is Obsidian just was too lazy to come up with there own mutated creatures. They broke the lore of canon s lore, then they broke that lore. lol lol

I really don t feel like this, I am just playing the part of your everyday fo3 basher.

I ll make up my own reason why they are there. I ve already had to imagine who won mw until someone tells me what really happened there.

Good thinking Mr. House............ You really are as smart as you say you are. lol

Honestly I don t care why they are there. There are plenty of reasons ants could breath fire in fo world. I won t get all picky and say they ruined the series over it. I ll just make up my own reason.

There's a perfectly good explanation for the Mojave Fire Ants.
In 'Them!' the movie (which is good, and not b-grade :stare: ), the Scientists! realize that a giant ant queen has escaped. They deduce that her flight range has increased proportionately with her size. Obviously ( ) a second fire ant queen, unknown to Lesko, has left DC and flown west to establish a colony.
Being a giant insect, she can fly very far, indeed.

No, your Absolutely correct. they DOn't belong. and they gave no reason why they should be there.
they made a mistake (or at least didn't explain them via the Stock game) Until all the DLC is out I cant pass Judgement (since some of references to the DLCs were in the stock game)

BUT(and its a big But) They are more plausable on the West coast where they have had Wild FEV Mutations in the past (see fire breathing Geckos) and were not written in to the game as a main Plot point to give it a symbolic link to a past Fallout game

I thought it was cause they were eating gunpowder?

Those weren't fire ants, those were regular ants at the Boomers Airfield.

The Fire Ants in the drylakes is what is a loose end. I'll just stick to the simple, FEV natural mutation like the geckos explanation.

And Rook, Obsidian came from Black Isle who created the first 2 FOs which created the lore.........If anyone should be blamed about abusing lore it should be Beth.

Nope sorry not in the case of fire ants on the west coast. As Mr. House says it was an accident by a scientist on the east coast. Bethesda made them up, and Obsidian destroyed the lore of canons lore.

If I find out that lakelurks have no buisness being on the west coast I ll really flip. What is their reason for being there? If I look up mirelurks, lakelurks, swamlurks, and mirelurk kings and there were none in fo or fo2 I ll go ballistic about the lore of canons lore that was destroyed.

I know the west coast had the original fire ants, I was pointing that out to the guy I quoted who mistook the Boomer Ants at Nellis as the Fire Breathing Ants.

If surviving Super Mutants can make it to the Midwest and to the east coast by 2277 Why couldn't a rapidly producing insect such as an ant repopulate itself all across the American Wasteland? its a wierd wierd world fallout has created....who's to say the fireants didnt have multiple queens? or many colonies by the time our vault dwellers got there? we destroyed one queen...that doesn't mean between the time they were created to the time we got there that they havent taken over or started new colonies in the mean time......just look at what "killer" bees compared to "european" bees are doing to the western hemisphere. IRL.

Also the Enclave oversaw the Vault monitoring projects as well...now if they were willing to set these up to fail for all sorts of crazy reasons...and they did at one time try to use modifies FEV themselves....wouldnt it be self serving for them to set up a vault experiment using FEV? East or West coast it matters not.
