Don't Half Ass the PS3 Version this time

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:17 am

Anyone annoyed at how half assed the PS3 version of FO3 was? Especially the GOTY Edition. While playing through it, I had it freeze AT LEAST ONCE every time I played for an extended session. I really hope Bethesda doesn't shaft us PS3 owners again with New Vegas, because FO3 was one of my favorite games ever. Who's with me?

I don't even have a PS3 but this just can't be stressed enough. I'm 100% behind you.

Correct it's not being made by the same people, but maybe by the same technology. By looking at the opening trailer of NV, you can't tell that it was made by someone else. Who knows if they are using the same or different technology. If the same tech is being used, it could be the same problem again for the PS3.

I have a PS3, but don't plan on getting it for the PS3. I don't know why, I prefer the 360 over then PS3. I guess I like the feel of the 360 controler instead of the PS3 controller. I just don't like the PS3 D pad.

But I am behind you as well. There is no reason why the PS3 should be screwed around this time. That goes for DLC and problem free play wise.

This. Since it's by Obsidian, a good PC version can surely come of it.

IT is using the same engine but glitches can be fixed with testing.

I guess I got the good GOTY out of the batch for the ps3. I only had problems with my first day or so and then after that it rarely freezed. But I agree with the DLC guys !

I'm actually going to make a judgement call and lock this up, because I can't really see any good coming of this thread.

It's not like any devs are sitting around thinking, "Darn it! There go our careful plans to half-ass this version! Now we have to be fully assed!" Sure, everyone wants the best version of the game they can get their paws on and that's always the intention.

We don't allow petition threads here, and that is effectively what this is, so I'm going to put it to bed for that reason. I see some Obsidian devs reading this anyway, so I know your concerns have been noted, but there's little that can be accomplished by letting people continue to post in it.
