I figure nothing is going to be done about the game freeze problems if Bethesda doesn't know about them, so here's a topic to list any actions that repeatably result in a game freeze. As long as I don't do these, I've been able to play the game with only a couple of random freezes. Note this this is a level 12-16 character with the Classic and Tribal DLC.

Purchasing a playing card from a merchant
Entering (via walking or fast travel) Nipton and/or its surrounding environs.

Anyone else know a reliable and repeatable way of causing a game freeze? We can avoid it while (hopefully) Bethesda fixes it.

I am about 45 hours in and I cant continue my game because my game crashes when get into heavy combat. So unless I go through the rest of the game without fighting I cant even finish it.

The game crashes for me if i go near the entire western part of the map i havent had any problems with the Strip (which seems to be one of the main crashes).

I repaired some ncr armor at mojave outpost and my game crashed 10 times in a row while going into my menu immediately after that. Outside of repair station I noticed a glitched radscorpion sticking out of sand rite in front of outpost, so I wasn't sure if that was the cause as well.

To fix the issue ifast traveled to novac, slept for a bit, deleted old saves and made new ones. That was about 15 hrs in. I'm now 34 hrs in without a single crash since then

I played about 10 hours or so, until I started getting heavy freezes. I encountered the first freeze buying cards from a merchant. I then bought the cards one at a time and then got another freeze. Decided to bypass the merchant and walked down the road a little further and got another freeze. I then tried to fast travel, and got yet another freeze. I then cleared my cache and tried to play again, 5 minutes in another freeze. A day later I tried to install the game to HD refresh my Cache and still got freeze. This game is unplayable and a heap of junk if you ask me. Sure I had fun the 10 hours I got to play, but that is not the entire game. This is not acceptable to be allowing such issues to hit the market.
I am glad that I decided to rent this game before I bought it. Hopefully they can fix it, but I am going to wait until the GOTY comes out and buy it with all the DLC included. I may even buy it used so I don't allow Obsidian or Bethesda to earn any more money on a product that should be recalled. I do not care who is to blame, they both put their names on the game, so I blame them both equally. The developers were lazy in their troubleshooting process, and the publisher was lazy for allowing such issues to be shipped out.

Hidden Valley: As soon as McNamara tries to give me the collar ==> freeze. Over and over again.

I cant even load the game now. First it was in game freezes. Like fast travelling or open the pip boy and loading screens. Now when i hit continue or try to load from the main menu it freezes.

I know its not the disk since it has no scratches and iv had it installed since purchase.

I have tried uninstalling it from the hd. Running it from the disk no go.
Iv tried Removing the updates and reupdating no go
Iv tried reinstalling no go.

Its unplayable now.

Vault three seems to cause the DLC bug sometimes along with the rocket ghoul quest thing.

Freezes if I try to go through the Strip's North Gate, and even if I go through the monorail(which takes about 6 loading screens), it will still occasionally freeze on me.
