basically sell a reasonably high value weapon that is nearly warn out to a vendor. wait for his inventory to repop (3 days or some such). he will still sell it at the low price because it is warn out, however when its transferred over to your inventory, it will be fully repaired. sell it back to him for full value, and it will revert back to its original worn out state in his inventory.

i dont think i need to explain the rest.

wait... last time i checked vendors operate on a barter system and only have a limited number of caps.

so selling to them takes from the cap pool and buying from them puts it right back. unless you found the one that has 99999999999 caps

when they run out you wait for them to repop again. they receive more money.

this may only work on vendortron, i have not actually checked any of the others

When you start a new game just clear cache before hand then go offline and do the "Trick" (Xbox 360)

For now I guess just remain offline when you play the game to do the "Trick" as of now

Me I don't need caps I salvage and repair and besides I'd rather get rich gambling!

P.S. This is not really a bug I doubt there would be need to patch it

its really glitchy. when it sells you the gun, it will leave a duplicate in the inventory. also sitting there and waiting caused him to eat it. i dont know, all i know is i sold him the thing ages ago.

if anyone else can duplicate this glitch let me know.

I personally love the shop keepers that play Caravan, like the one in the gift shop in Novak. Buy a bunch, win it back, buy some more. That's not exploiting the caps glitch at all.
