Worst DLC EVER... too many glitches

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:33 am

First off, I fell into the Dog/God glitch where you can't get him to leave your party. So I restarted. Then I got the blackout glitch where it freezes up when you have certain things in your inventory and you get gassed. Fixed that one. NOW, i started all over again and managed to get all 3 collared guys (with Dean in my party). I went back to the fountain to talk to the holograph but it still said I hadn't gotten all 3 guys (I had dog and the hairless girl standing by the fountain and Dean in my party). So I dismissed Dean and he said he would go to the fountain. He ran away instead and I found him right back where he was to begin with sitting in the chair. Now he won't follow me again, there are no dialogue options to get him to. How do you get all 3 at the fountain at the same time??? What a waste of money this DLC was. I'm a big fan of Bethesda but this... this is garbage! VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

I don't know man... I went and got Dog, then used him to get to Dean (who said he'd go to the fountain himself) and then went and got baldy (also sent her straight to the fountain), then walked over to the fountain and talked to beardo and he said "hey you got everyone, good work, now take them here, here and here". Maybe that'll help you? Let those two go to the fountain on their own?

I just got through with all of those quests, and I ran into no glitches. Of course, I did add and remove each one from my party a couple times while exploring the rest of the external areas, so perhaps you should have each one join, then dismiss. They sometimes do little banter sessions with each other when you get back to the fountain, so maybe there's something that the script is waiting on.

"Worst DLC EVER" is a bit of an overstatement, eh?

Yikes. Quite a pain. I haven't had more than a couple of minor graphics glitches.

You have both patches installed, I assume.

You don't provide any arguments for why it's a steaming pile of crap.

Maybe telling us what platform you're using would help!

Yeah, because a great story and good enemies and a good ending makes something crappy, so I suppose you think that crappy means good, so this would mean Broken Steel, Mothership Zeta, and Pitt are the best DLC's ever to you?

Not to be mean, but there is only ONE platform this DLC is on.

The Pitt was actually pretty kickass to me.
Short. But what was there was awesome.
I hope Fallout 4 is placed there or at least have a full fledged expansion in that area.

I don't see it in the Pitt, the troggs would have been good but I never saw anymore after I slaughtered them all.

Yeah I hated that they didn't respawn.
But everything else.
Ashur, his slaves, his raiders, the culture, the theme, the atmosphere, the mutations... Just... Wow.
Everything was pure gold for me.

It all felt dull, so I chopped everyone up (everyone I could anyways..) with the auto-axe.
