Can someone provide a step by step instructions for people with basic computer knowledge?
It's been incredibly frustrating this morning.

Please don't reference me to the top stickied thread either, because that's a rather useless guide for people who haven't done anything like this before.
I've followed every step over and over, only for everything I download to do nothing.

Download the GECK, from here: http://fallout.gamesas.com/eng/downloads/geck.html
Copy the contents of the archive into your xxx\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas (where xxx is relative to where you installed steam)
Run GECK.exe.

The download comes in a .zip folder. If you don't have a program installed, in Windows, right-click it, then select Extract All.

Select the location to "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas" (Or wherever you installed the game to.)

You can also click-and-drag the files to that folder.

Double-click Geck.exe to run it.

is this the same with F3 GECK instalation because i had problems there.
