Sure-fire ways to know you where adopted

Brown eyes are dominant, blue a mutuation that is now prevalent, and green is a hybridization, a pure recessive trait.
It's called a Punnett Square.
If you use House MD as a reference for medicine and science, well, then
Also, don't generalize women. Not all of us like bad boys.

are you sure, what are the parents of their parents, there is still a chance they may have brown eyes even if the parents have blue eyes if i remember right..

You remember right: the nominally dominant allele for brown eyes can go unexpressed depending on other genes and circumstances. Thus you can have a blue-eyed "carrier". As I noted before, virtually all genes that express themselves in human appearance are annoyingly non-Mendelian.

I don't think House is actually a credible source of medical, biological, genetic, or really ANY science. :biglaugh:

No. In fact most of what he does is not only medically reprehensible and ethically reprehensible by far more than he every gets on that show x1000000. He may be a badass, but in actuality he's a [censored]. IT'S HOLLYWOOD PEOPLE! It's supposed to be entertaining, not real in any sort of way.

Look in the birth certificate?

As I remember, what used to happen in Australia was that if a child was adopted, the original birth certificate was locked away never to be seen again (later changed to allow the adoptee to view it) and a new BC was issued.

It may well still be how things work, and there may also be other countries which do the same thing. In which case, "Look in the birth certificate?" wouldn't work :P.

I'm not going to allow speculation on any kind of evolutionary foundation for infidelity in women; and as I have previously cautioned this thread, it is vulgar and offensive speculation and unwelcome in any context. Thread over.
