Nuke Mods?

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 6:35 am

does anybody have a nuclear warhead launcher mod around here? and not a mini nuke, i mean like megaton size, cuz ive always wanted to nuke vegas, so does anyone have a link to one or a way to make my own?

EDIT: or a mod that just launches the nuke and doesnt actually do any effect, just for looks ya know? any of those?

The megaton thing wasn't exactly a massive effect it was a 2d script, so the blast itself wasnt an actual 3 dimensional object, so if you viewed it at any other angle, it would appear flat. and it was a script that simple swapped out the cell with one that had ruined megaton, so if you wanted to do that you would have to create a ruined version of vegas.

bump

Yea just a word of advice. Don't bumb your thread after 14 minutes. Wait until it is OFF the front page, then you can bump it. Whether it takes 30 minutes or 6 days. Wait till its off the front page.

Because nuking Vegas would pretty much destroy the storyline of the game...that's why it wasn't in New Vegas, game companies don't generally put stuff in "just because".

If I misunderstood you, and you meant why aren't there any mods that add this, well there just aren't. Nobody has wanted to make one.

no, i meant a mod with just a missile laucnher that on impact, it shows the megaton nuke, no actual damage, like the mod for FO3, so im saying why hasnt anyone made one for FONV?

Probably because the megaton nuke spawns a mesh unique to fallout 3. And porting default meshes between games is verboten.

There is a mod that allows a user to launch a real nuke. I saw a youtube video of it. It was a compilation of a bunch of weapons, including a mini-nuke launching mini-gun, 2 SMGs that shot ridiculous amounts of spears (one had a larger spread than the other), a laser shotgun, and a mini-nuke sniper. I forget what they were called as well as the name of the mod, but I know they exist because I've seen them. The nuke effect was nice too.

edit: found it: http://www.fileplanet.com/217269/210000/fileinfo/Fallout:-New-Vegas---Lollerguns-Mod-v1.5

It's likely in NV, the majority of assets that were found in FO3 can be found in NV, there are also assets from FO3 DLCs.

For clarification. Ruined Megaton was always there. Just when you hit the bomb switch, the script didnt swap the cell, as that is impossable. It just enabled the ruined models and disabled the non-ruined models, as well as the radiation and dust clouds effects.

Yeah, but there still a lot missing. You have no idea how frustrating it is to try to rebuild an old project of mine with half the parts missing :P
