Weapon firing issues

Post » Thu Apr 07, 2011 5:09 pm

After reloading I can not fire my weapon; the weapon is in good condition. It takes two clicks of the mouse button before it will fire, at which time I am dead. Is this a know problem or am I missing something?

Find a good club and invest in melee skillz?

Sorry it's all I could come up with right away.
I'll drink some more and ponder it.

Hmm, I have the game idling in background going to test it real quick. I've not played it in hours.

HIc. Welp. I just fired off 4 different bang bang weapons. None of them exhibited this behavior.

Now you guys have one crazy bug. WTF.

I love this game. It has so many mini games within mini games. '////
Find the bug, wack the bug.

Hey, here is an idea.. just for grins make sure vsync is OFF.

Try the solution in the post by the OP here.

I had applied that eariler and perhaps that is related .. worth a shot.

I'm thinkinng the fact they changed the way vsync is applied by default is what could be going on.

Thank you I will try that. If I do not get it fixed a Cazador will get me in the end. :(

I have the same issue... occasionally after a reload or even at random times, I can't shoot or zoom with my gun for a few seconds. It's super annoying when you're trying to fend off multiple foes and you can't even shoot or aim at them.

My game plays fine in all respects but i did notice this once last night. Thought it was just me. Decided to restart NV as i had been playing it for about 3 hrs at that point. Didn't happen again.

I found the problem, I think. It has to do with the fact the character is still moving. As far as the user sees the character is stopped. I hope this gets looked into.

This seems to be specific to weapons that do not load magazines (revoler, cowboy rifle, etc) that you can interrupt mid-reload.

The weapon is loaded, so that can not be the problem. :)

I'm having this issue as well. I noticed it tends to happen with guys that can be reloaded shell by shell (aka shotguns). Machine guns never have this issue.

I also have issues zooming with my gun sometimes, I'm forced to unequip and reequip the weapon.

Its got nothing to do with the weapon FYI ;) You'll notice that it happens with firing, reloading, even going into the PipBoy.
