in Freeside, if you take the quest as a guard in Silver Rush, you can have the armor in that box beside the door and will return it when the quest is finished.
but i stole the armor ealier, when in the quest i was given the 2nd one. after the quest, the armor i stole is still in my inventory.
apparently it cannot be removed cuz when you do that, it says the armor is a quest item, which needs to lie in your inventory.
its weight is 15, thought its DT is okay but it's not my type, so any idea to get this thing off?

I had this problem too, and I was able to remove it from my inventory after I actually finished the quest (Birds of a Feather). So that's the only way.
