i dont know if its been confirmed or not but i was woundering if you'll be able to return to zion nation park or new canaan (not sure if which it is or if its both) after you beat the story line.

Yes. You will be able to return to all the DLC locations except Dead Money.

I really doubt it new Canaan is far off. The dlc would have to take place over most of Utah.

Van Buren isn't canon though, they might have moved New Canaan to be in Zion National Park.

But one theory i had about how the dlc starts, is that you go with Daniel from New Caanan to Zion but get ambushed by the sorrows.

Just wondering.. What would people do in the Dlc worlds if they chose to return? I pretty much do everything I can in one go. So.. going back would have no story or quests to do . I'm just curious as to how others play these types of games. Do you like to run through the main story quickly and then go back and do everything else? I do things as I find them,... most times, in games like these, forgetting what the main gist or storyline is. I get really caught up in sidequests and lose the big picture... In both fallouts this of course caused me to be completely leveled waaaay before the end of the main storyline.

If there are random monsters that respawn, some people like to go back just to mess with them. But depends if there's any challenge (or just silly fun) to be had by doing so.

assuming this isn't a forced, linear story, and provides some open-world fun, I love the ability to return! Just like in point lookout, I still return every once in a while to mess with things.

One of my FO3 character liked Point Lookout so much he moved there. Permanently. He only rarely visits the wasteland, mostly to shop at the "Big City".

What, did he have a relationship with one of the inbreeds? Or was it the Punga Fruit?

I'm wondering about returning in the new DLC's. Will we get to collect any loot we left behind? Will any NPC's, creatures, containers, etc. repawn? I'd really hate to return to an empty map, no loot, and nothing to shoot at.

Sure as hell better be able to. Not spending another 10 dollars for land I can't even come back to.
