Is there LAN?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:55 am

The game looks pretty good so far but there's no way I'd blow $100 on two copies just to play with my wife. Any word on LAN? This could be a launch purchase for me, or it could end up being a game I buy two copies of for $5 each on Ebay in a year.

This information is not completely correct, it has been announced on the previews that there will be split-screen, http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/03/01/hands-on-with-hunted/, so if you have a console and you want to play with your wife you can go split-screen :)

I would love it if this game had lan/systemlink option for the console and pc.
I would buy 2 copies at launch if the game had systemlink on the xbox 360 that would be awesome!

Excellent, if this will run on my wife's laptop we'll have to give co-op a shot :D

Seems to be some contradiction here. The lan lines are only being shown under the consoles. Co-optimus still shows just online on pc's as above post. We going to be able to play this through a lan line on a couple computers, one game. Or just online with two games for the pc's? Any type of pre-order is a pretty much a need to know? The post that it supports lan lines is a bit open, is that mean all platforms? All I can find at the moment on this, is that a single game couch-co-op is just the consoles. Anyone know whats the situation on pc's?

Co-Optimus is now listing lan support under pc.

LAN or System Link:

Yes

Number of Players via LAN or System link:

2 Players

This will be great if we can play with our family members, at least for my situation.

Wanted to thank the team again for the effort on the lan support and wanted to give proof that I really did buy 2 copies and the book.
I love it when developers think about lan/local co-op, even if most think people do not use it anyone.
Still I think a lot of people use it and really appreciate it.

Sorry for not totally understanding.. but does this mean I need 1 or 2 copies of the game to play in my own house, on my own internal LAN with my son on our 2 PC's?

Thanks!

You will need 2 copies of the pc version if you want to play on lan.
And if the game is on steamworks than you will need to create 2 steam accounts if you do not have them yet.
