Guy Or Girl?

I'll definitely play once (or maybe twice) with each :). You should have put a Both option in the poll ;)

E'Lara is awesome. I really like archery so I'll play as her most likely. Ranged is more my play style. Also, I recommend using the term "Murder" for a group of Minotaurs. As in "That murder of minotaurs sure look angry. They're coming right at us!". If I had a nickel for every time I've had to say that...

I will most likely play as E'lara because I am a girl, And she looks awesome. But Caddoc does look awesome also. So I might play as both..lol

You should have put that in as an option, both. :hehe:

Although I'll be playing both I'll most likely favour E'Lara because I too prefer ranged combat if I can.

I try both, but i think i stick with E'lara most of the time. As far as i can see E'lara is athletic and can jump away, while Caddoc is just the big, bold warrior which eats enemies as breakfast.
I also read that both can perform magic, but i think that for Caddoc it's probably more like a paladin and E'lara probably more like a real magician. After all, E'lara is an elf and elves are profient in magic.
It sounds a bit like Gwendala in the first Drakensang, an elven spellweaver companion which can handle the bow and can perform magic.
Ah well, i just see it when it's out.

Remember, as you're playing the game, you'll be able to switch characters at certain checkpoints.

It's definitely fun playing as both, because their play styles are so different.

Yup. If I do get this game I will definitely be switching between the two every once in a while.

I will probably first play Elara - nothing to with being a girl, wanting to play a girl character, but my general preference is playing a ranged type character, rather than melee.

But I will probaby give the dude a try, given the chance to do so. :)

I imagine some people will choose a character based on gender, even if it's more a decision of who's rugged tush they would rather be following, but it does seem like most people will choose their character based on fighting style.

Being female I much prefer to play female characters whenever possible (lord I am so tired of the repetetive 'you are the lone male hero - saviour of the universe' trend in RPG's over the last few years) so definately E'lara for me.

First of all I know how a guys mind works, And I think it is very pathetic of guys looking and OMG she's hot. Let me repeat myself, SHE'S A GAME CHARACTER! She doesn't have a heartbeat!
She's not real!

So what? Do you honestly believe those women you see in magazines, on TV and in ads are real too? Yes they may be real people but their presentation to you is fake - particularly in magazines, ads and posters. So the next time you find a babe in a magazine you think is hot, you need to realize that picture is most likely every bit as fake as the game character you are deriding. The use of cosmetics, airbrushing, briast enhancement, face-lifts, botox and "plastic surgery" is equally fake.

Oh and I'll be playing E'lara. Both b/c she is hot and b/c I prefer archery and/or magic over melee.

Caddoc, something about wielding a giant sword that makes you feel more like a man than Old Spice.

E'Lara to start (because i like archers). But i intend to play both toons for at least a whole playthrough. I have good friends waiting for this title, chances are we will play a whole playthrough and then switch.
