Where did they mention Games for Windows Live? I know Games for Windows certification has been confirmed but that basically just means it runs on Windows, supports certain resolutions, and you can use a standard gamepad with it. Many games get GFW certification but don't have Live support - Fallout New Vegas and Brink are both GFW titles but run through Steam instead of Live.

However it is likely that the game supports either Live or Steam, and through one of these has achievements. Bethesda Softworks' recent games (Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Brink) have all had achievements on every platform they've been released on.

I would also like to know for sure weather this game uses Games for Windows Live before release. I know that it is Games for Windows certified and will be distributed on Steam but I can find no mention as to weather or not GFWL is used or not. Could you ask and get clear details on what is actually used for what? I want to know before release so I am not disappointed to get the game and find it does indeed use GFWL. I really hate GFWL and refuse to buy games that use it.

Yes, this game will be on Steam, too. But we are not 100% sure it's fully bind to Steam like Brink (Fully Steamworks / Fully supported on Steam). Because the "Games for Windows" title (Not "Games for Windows - Live" it's huge different.
