I'm usually on this forum to look for any updates on Skyrim, but i recently checked out more games Bethesda was working on and i found this game. I just finished watching the trailer and screenshots and this game looks amazing. Beautiful graphics in a scenario somewhat like fallout.

I was wondering if someone could give me some quick information about what kind of game this is: Is it an open world? Is it an rpg or a shooter? Any information that describes the big picture will do. Once i know if this is a game for me i'd like to go deeper into the details.

tl;dr: yes it's supposed to be open-world, it's not an RPG it's an FPS, you shoot people and mutants in the wasteland, there is car combat, upgradeable weapons and cars, exploration and side-quests and bosses the size of a building. there should probably be a faq containing these stickied at the top.
