Interface help needed

Ok, here's what I think happened.. I use my hdmi out to a 1080p bigscreen. I was using the G.E.C.K. last night in this manner and now today while my wife is watching t.v. I wanted to finish up some stuff. Back to the laptop with 1600x900 insead.

Ok. When I pull up a text type window, like entering text for a note, the bottom of the window is below my screen. If i grab the window and try to move it up, it only goes till it won't anymore and it's not enough. I can't get to the save buttons. There is no resize option and I don't see any .ini file to swap GECK back to a different res.

1. Windows 7, can you scroll off screen somehow?
2. Windows 7, can you grab the window some other way and move it? I tried the move option.

3. Is there a button shortcut for saving this particular type of window? At least I could continue.

4. Any way in the GECK or in some .ini file to make the window smaller or fix the res back? Since the GECK doesn't actually install, I don't know how to reset it.

Any help with any solution to this problem would be appreciated greatly. :)

This is a question about resizing windows under Windows 7, correct? If you can see any edge of the window, grab that edge and make it smaller. Then move the window so you can see more of it. Most Windows programs will do this, because Windows remembers the last window size. The program probably does not even know.

No resize on this window. It's very annoying lol. Can't change the size of the window in any way. It's plenty narrow, just like an inch too tall. I've tried resizing from the corners, sides and top. There is no min/max on it, just the x close button.

I did get to the save button by using my windows prefs to turn my desktop to portrait so it flipped lengthwise and I could click the button and then flipped my screen back over. grrr.

If anyone knows how this can be fixed... I seem to remember some option that lets you pan around if your content is bigger than your screen.

When I bring up geck, there are four main windows. One is titled "Garden of Eden Creation Kit - [my mod filename]". This has some menus and a toolbar. The other three main windows are "Object Window", "Cell View" and "Render Window". All four of these are resizeable. Which specific window are you having trouble resizing?

It's one of the edit windows. For instance, edit a note and what I am missing are the buttons below the text editing area.

Edit.. I fixed it. I just had an idea while I was responding to your post. I put the fonts in windows prefs to larger size for easier reading. I swapped it back down to small size and it completely changed the actual size of the GECK windows, including the problem one. It's now back in full view. grrr.

GECK should have a scaling solution to this or at the min, all the windows should be able to be resizied with the mouse pointer.

Thanks davidlallen for your efforts :)
