Item will not fall to the ground

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:14 pm

I created a mod which can be found here ( http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37732 ) FYI.

Anyway, I created an armor object and whenever it is dropped from the player's inventory it does not fall to the ground. Any ideas why?

You're using a model that was previously only meant for containers, which are usually static and can't be moved. It doesn't have proper physics data or whatever the terminology is.

And I don't suppose there would be a nifty little way I could add said physics data to the model?

Could you add it? Sure. But its not easy if you have never done it before. The learning curve of nifskope is rather steep.

So I am going to need to use nifskope then? Sounds like a plan.

I'd start by looking at the explosive crates, they are moveable containers, but keep in mind these cannot be placed in the inventory, it would be a container within a container, so what you are seeking to do may not be easy at all, good luck anyway.

It does appear that I might be in over my head with this. If anyone has any solutions, I would be indebted.
