Very dark screens

Post » Sun Apr 10, 2011 7:55 am

After 35 hours of game play my game screens have gone dark. Only in the game screens though. pip boy still works fine so does the heads up display. Looks like a problem with my save file. I loaded an old save about 20 hours ago and everything works fine.

No way am i gonna start over or from this save. Does anyone have any ideas. I've checkd with a doctor i'm all good. doesn't matter where i travel it all the same. Even tried reinstalling without the patches but no effect.

I have experienced this myself, i just usually pop some cateye to get through. Bad thing though for you is it seems it happens to you in the overworld ( not in a dungeon or cavern or whatever ) for me, it has only happened in caverns, prolly twice now... but it corrected itself in overworld and after cateye was used, everything was fine. I thought it was just part of the cavern, tooooo dark for my character to see.... haha! silly me! but just try that out, no sense in you wasting your main game character

it happened the first time for me in a cavern also but after moving a bit it worked fine. now it seems to be permanent. cat eyes makes it a little better but only till it wears off. and i do mean only a little

Did you try creating a new save, exiting the game restarting game, load the new save? Altering game graphic options to see if that strangely motivates anything to behave properly again?

If i load an old save or start new it works fine. something in this save is the problem. I'm not gonna start over or go back 20 hrs though.
