Ok, I'm a moron...

Hi. I preordered the game and got the caravan content pack. I got my little code and eveything but when I go onto xbox live to download it I can't find it. The only DLC under Fallout New Vegas is the trailer teaser. Is it actually on the disk or something?

Many thanks.

If memory serves me right, if you entered the code correct, then all you should have to do is start the game. Every time you start the game it automatically scans for DLC.

Yes, first you should enter the code, when the download is completed, just start the game.
In the game it will automatically add the items in your character's pack.

Sorry, but where do you enter the code? I haven't even got that far.

Follow the directions on the card that came with your game, viz: Press the Guide button on your controller (big silver X), go to Marketplace and then Redeem Code.

Once you type it in the download will start.

You'll automatically get the bonus stuff in your inventory as part of the tutorial.

Of course if you download the DLC you have more chance of having game breaking bugs in your game.. I did not download the DLC and have had no game breaking bugs,,, but others have claimed they still have bugs without the DLC. So it's up to you.

I'm not sure there's any evidence of a connection between the preorder DLCs and the DLC error people are getting. There are a lot of wild theories, but no-one posting here really knows.

FWIW I have a preorder DLC and have only experienced the bug with new cards not getting added to the Caravan deck and the graphical goofiness you always get with Gamebryo.

I have the DLC and the only bugs I've experienced are your typical freezing type glitches.

I have the DLC and got the DLC bug my first playthrough at 42 hours in but was able to start anew and only had minor freezes, I was able to play through the whole game and beat it. I dont think having the DLC really affects it because there are people who dont have it and still get that nasty bug. its like russian roulette, no one knows if they're gonna bite the bullet

Hi, and thanks. I didn't actually get a card with the game. The vendor emailed me the code, but with no instrucions. But I did what you said and it worked, so thanks.

After all that I decided not to use it. The only reason I wanted it was because I thought it came with a unique set of leather armour (I'm fashion conscious), but it's just regular leather but five pounds lighter. I didn't want all the other stuff because I didn't want the game to start out any easier.

But thanks again.

Huh. Sorry then, I assumed all the preorder stuff was the same with the card packed into the game.

Glad it worked out in the end though!
