My companions don't understand what passive means. They attack anything they see outside. If I go indoors they immediately start running around like chickens with their heads cut off shooting at stuff. I have dealt with a lot of bugs, but this one is about to push me over the edge. I can't take them anywhere. Anyone else having this problem? Anything I can do about it?

All I can say is don't use companions... Sorry I can't be much help. I've never experienced problems with any of the companions, ever.

I have the same issue. It only bothered me when I need to get karma and they are stealing my kills. I don't have the courage to set them to be aggressive

not only do I have this problem, they also wont stay put when I give them the "wait here" command. I have tried setting them to passive but this seems to have zero effect and they still chase stuff down that I cant even see to kill it. Very annoying.

rex attacks anything that moves towards me in a threatening manner even though hes set to passive..maybe hes programmed that way because he is a guard dog and thats what guard dogs do...but most guard dogs dont randomly sit on their asses in one spot for no apparent reason and have to be told to follow after back tracking to find them..
