Neen help with 2 quests : Fallout: New Vegas

I really want "this machine" so I would like to know how to start the "Dealing with contreras" quest and everything.

Also the "I put a spell on you" quest is weird. For the next step on the quest everything is grayed out and it is saying investigate the break ins at the control tower or something like that and it's grayed out with a check next to it and there is no other step what do I do now? Thx in advance.

P.S I know dealing with contreras is not an offical quest and I would like to know how to start it though if you know what I mean.

Quoting what I wrote on wiki (too lazy to type again)

On the 360, one can also obtain the weapon in the following way: on the mission to meet Price, talk to Keller, and use the passphrase. When he replies, choose the option to say that is not the correct password. Attack him afterwards (dialog option), and then return to Contreras. The dialog will be bugged and you can choose the option that say you've convinced the ranger to work with him (in death), and he'll give you the gun.

The problem I am having is I can't start the quest at all so it's not telling me to meet price (which I dont know who or where he is) and it's not telling me to talk to keller (yet again dont know where or who he is) and I don't know how to get the passphrase or anything.

Also how do I get Lt. Boyd to let me interrogate the legion guy.
