Does anybody know if New Vegas will be GFWL enabled so I can still get my achievements if I play it on the PC?

Thanks guys.

No, it will be using Steam instead (which, I believe, also has an achievement system)

Psshhhh that's useless! I want my achievements for my XBL Gamertag, looks like I'll have to shell out for both version so after I've completed it all I can go super crazy with mods.

I'm sure obsidian will be glad to sell you two copies of the same game.

I feel like I need to ask, but do you really, truly, feel the need to purchase 2 copies so you can contribute to your meaningless gamer score? I mean, I'm all for Obsidian/Beth getting more money for an awesome game, but I just don't get it.

I like getting achievements, not for gamerscore, but because it means I actively explore every little nook and cranny which I may overlook without the incentive of going there, so that's why I'd like GFWL, obviously that isn't going to happen so I'll buy it for 360.

I also love downloading mods for Oblivion and Fallout 3 which means I will also buy it for PC, if it were GFWL enabled I would only have to buy it once which would be nice but if I have to buy it twice then so be it. I have no problem giving double the money to a company that makes games I love, if I were rich I would actively sponsor some of my favourite games companies.

Yeah but they won't register on my gamertag and I like having them on that because I don't know many people who play PC games and with them on my XBL gamertag I can much easier compare and talk to friends about them.

I am not, I really liked GFWL for Fallout 3 because I could use my Xbox Gamertag, just like the OP.

GFWL was utter crap. It got in the way, didn't work, hid your saves and DLC in stupid locations and generally was a pain in the ass.

It's not worth being able to link your XBL gamertag to a PC game.

GFWL - R.I.P.

Steam? Staying with a real disc, don't need achievements.

On the plus side, though, you could disable and ignore it. The rest of it svcked hard, though.
