Sound loop metadata?

Post » Fri May 06, 2011 10:05 pm

In the properties for a sound, it offers the choices Envelope Fast and Envelope Slow. The GECK manual says that these options require metadata in the wav file to work. How would I go about adding this metadata to the wav file?

This http://www.fallout3nexus.com/articles/article.php?id=234 may help; it told me what I needed to know when I was making a minigun loop sound.

Huh. Any pro tips on how to use this effectively? I tried adding a loop to a sound file (it's the proper format). It plays in game, but on the first repetition there is a horrendous scream of tortured bytes before it settles down. "Bang! SKEESHHHSHTHS Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" Most disturbing.

Sorry, I didn't encounter anything like that, so I don't really know.
