Altering non-NPC health issues

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 12:31 am

Hey guys, I am moderately new to this so I am hoping someone can just help me with the one thing I need!

I want to alter the health of creatures/monsters or whatever and I cannot seem to find any fields or factors that mess with this. I found ones for NPC health, but that appears to only modify things like NCR troopers, legion, and other human'ish things. What should I be looking for if I want to modify a gecko's health, or a ghouls health, or a deathclaws health?

Thanks for the help!

Creatures are similar to NPCs. Select a creature and double click to edit it. In the stats tab, in the right hand column, there is a health field. If the tab values are greyed out, uncheck the "use stats" checkbox at the left of the window.

But, here is a followup question. How do you modify the DT of a creature? I could not find this, and most creatures cannot wear most armor.

Wait, so I have to do each creature individually? There is no option/factor that makes like all monsters have 2x hp or at least all geckos have 2x hp?

Also, for your question I would say try the following...

Game play tab -> settings -> filter for "armor"

Maybe you can find something in there?

Most creatures are built using a "template", which you can see in the "actorbase" field of the creature dialog. So one template may be used to create N specific creatures. You can adjust the templates to increase the health. This way you have *fewer* places to change. But, there is no single magic setting which doubles the HP of all creatures.

Thanks for the suggestion on settings, but what I was looking for is to increase the DT of a single creature, to make it more weapon resistant.

While looking there, I noticed some settings with names like "damagemult". These are not documented anywhere I can find, but maybe you can find a way to decrease all damage by 50%. That might do what you want, but I am not sure exactly what you want.
