Cipscis' Automatic Save Manager: New Vegas - CASM:NV

========================================
INTRODUCTION
========================================
CASM:NV replaces Fallout: New Vegas' saving system so that you no longer have to rely on only a single autosave or quicksave to fall back on.

This is achieved by cycling through a certain number of saves, so that older saves are still overridden but there are also always previous saves available if you need to reload a save earlier than your last one.

CASM:NV creates saves in two ways:
- Automatically after a certain length of time
- Manually with a hotkey (F4 by default)

========================================
INSTALL
========================================
To install CASM:NV, simply place CASM.esp in your Data folder and activate it with the mod manager of your choice.

CASM:NV requires NVSE, so you must start Fallout: New Vegas via the NVSE loader in order for CASM:NVto function correctly. NVSE can be downloaded from its homepage:
http://nvse.silverlock.org/

To uninstall CASM:NV, simply deactivate CASM.esp with the mod manager of your choice.

========================================

I've re-written this version of CASM from scratch. At the moment, it has all the features of Fallout 3's version of CASM except for event-triggered saving and quickloading and the ability to detect the presence of NVSE and switch to non-cycling saves if it is absent.

Additionally, CASM:NV has 5 profiles available, has a cleaner method of accessing the settings, allows the hotkey to be rebound, and does not disable vanilla quicksaving or quickloading (although I discourage using either).

I hope you find it useful!

Okay, this is radical. Thank you.

Just some small things to report.

The save interval menu is inescapable once entered.

It doesn't show a message on a manual save regardless of settings.

Irregardless, still great overall, very, very grateful for this.

Wow, that was stupid of me... In my rush to upload the v1.0.1 fix, I managed to upload the plugin file before I saved it... Anyone who downloaded v1.0.1 before seeing this post should re-download it now. Sorry about that.

I've also removed the extra *.fo3 files that were in the archive. I'd added them accidentally and they're not necessary to run CASM:NV.

Cipscis

EDIT:

Re-uploading the files to the nexus under the same name doesn't seem to update them correctly. The correct archive is now available as v1.0.1b.

Good to see you ported this to NV. I had a rather annoying issue with the FO3 version where NPCs would get stuck in one place but still play their animations. Bad thing is I couldn't shoot them while they were in this state. Hope I don't run into the issue again. I'll try it and report back.

Heh, yet another essential mod. Whoopee!

There's but one thing I have to say, though - why would you recommend using the New Vegas launcher? I mean, it's not exactly the most ideal mod manager to use, and there are http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1129389-relzwipzbeta-wrye-flash-nv/ mod managers that you can suggest people use.

Because some people don't have other mod managers except the default one.... which indeed is severely lacking. But you can't ask certain people to activate it in NVMM... they will have no idea what NVMM is.

Updated to v1.0.2. It turns out I'd made another stupid mistake which stopped autosaving from working, but that's fixed now.

@roxahris:
I mention the New Vegas launcher for the sake of convenience. CASM:NV has no dependencies so load order isn't relevant to it, and as far as I know the New Vegas launcher isn't broken like Fallout 3's was, so the default launcher should work just fine. Thanks for that link though, I didn't realise there was a Wrye Bash port in development.

Thank you for this mod Cipscis! It's a must have for my Fallout experience since I get random CTDs and forget to press quick save all the time which is annoying! Awesome stuff! Heard there is a Fallout 3 version which I'll be picking up as well.

Very much glad to see that one of the "must have mods" for FO3, is alive and kicking for FNV...

Thanks Cipscis!

Bump and a small request (sorry for the double post)

Could you make different times for saving when you're on a interior cell and when you're on a exterior cell (wasteland) ?

Request / question here. Do you intend to implement the quickloading function? It's sometimes annoying to have to access the menu every time.

I want to separate the autosave and quicksave(Press F4).
Looks like:
Profile 1 Autosave[01~20](Automatically after a certain length of time)
Profile 1 Quicksace[01~05](Manually with a hotkey)

I think it would be easier to use.

I'm not good at English.
The above comes from Google Translate.
