So I keep getting this problem, when I go to load New Vegas on my PS3, I get a little note saying I have to update the game software, but when I try to do this, the load bar gets to around 10% then stops moving. Then generally after about 5 minutes or so I get an error message.
Would appreciate any help, as I'm experiencing a lot of crashes in-game and I figure the update would more or less rectify this problem.

go to the "GAME DATA UTILITY" on the XMB then look for "FALLOUT NEW VEGAS" and delete the old game data and if you have any DLC packs in there delete them too.. then put in your fallout game and then proceed with the update all should go well then you will have to wait for the game to install again on to the ps3 hdd.. hope this works as i had to do this for all patch's. even the new one 1.03 also make sure you add your DLC packs buy going to the psn store and going to downloads at the top then you dont need to enter the code again

Will this delete my save file? Just wondering because I don't know if I can be arsed starting all over xD
