I have about 43 hours into the game so far and have had only 2 major lockups with the game. One being in a Vault, but it only froze the game it didn't corrupt my saves. I have not gotten into the vaults where most people are complaining the game corrupts their save files yet, but have completed Come Fly with Me with no issues. I searched a bit but did not see this yet ( I may have missed it, so if I did sorry for the redundancy) but I thought I would put up a poll to see if the DLC bug is affected by one of the DLC packs in general or if this is spread across all of the packs. Does the DLC even have any affect on the issue? Can you delete the DLC after starting a game without it ruining your current game?

Since I haven't run into the DLC save game bug I was hoping to narrow down what might be the major causes and try to avoid them. Does anyone here ever copy their saves to an external drive? what happens if you get the corrupted saves and then copy the good saves back?

I must say that I am really enjoying the game. That being said I too have run into glitches that set me back, obviously not as bad as others, I have been stuck in rocks, had a board loading and freeze the game, blew up a glowing one and that froze the game. I too have looked past the floating people, dog eyes glitch, buried scorpions, massive texture glitches especially next to buildings. I guess the reason I am posting is to find out if there are any (other then waiting for the patches) definitive ways to avoid losing 45-90 hours of game-play.

Thanks for any good responses. I ask that you don't post in here to flame the game, yes we all know it has issues but any clear, proven evidence that there is a way around a scenario or avoiding it all together would be very help full to me and I would have to believe a bunch of other folks.

I don't think installing any of the DLC from the pre-orders have any effect on the save corruptions.

I have a pre-order but haven't installed any of the content and I am still having the same problems as others on here.

Have about an option for those of us with NO DLC and still have the corruption issue

I got all the DLC (all in one pack) and indeed a corrupt save also, except I got it after clearing Vault 3! I see more people on this forum (and other places) who had a corrupt save file after Vault 3.....suspicious!

I had played it for nearly 40 hrs and was just going through a door in camp Maccaran, it auto saved. went back to play the game and got the DLC error, went back to older save and also corrupt.

only had 1 save + auto save because i did not know about htis glitch and never thought it'd happen, my goodness i am RAGING about it though.

i haven't downloaded any DLC at all, also installed the game to my HD and moved the save files to another device...same issue.

i am NOT starting again, pray that they will have a fix for this ASAP or i will be looking for my money back!

i have not got any DLC installed and today i got the corrupted game save.

I didn't pre-order so only have the standard game with no DLC codes.
