Could House Be a title? : Fallout: New Vegas

I just said this in another thread but mabye House is a title like King and its been handed down after time and thats why no one sees him anymore

perhaps you can become house and thats how you get the room in the Lucky 38

mabye you have to "play" him for it

Technically, "Mr" is the title.

And I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that he's a pre-war dude who froze himself and then took over the strip.

"The house" is slang for the casino itself. For instance, in blackjack, you play against the house rather than other players.

O i dont doubt thats he was frozen and yes your right probly still the same guy i guess what im really getting at is why cant you replace him

Considering he's a recluse, no one has seen him in a lot of time etc... yeah, I wouldn't discount the possibility.

No, I was just guessing that it's probably a name he took rather than a title because he is, in effect, "the house".

It would be cool to be able to take over, although the Fallout series hasn't been a "king" game in the past, so I doubt it will play that way.

Yeah, that was just silly. It'd be easier to assemble a list on who Mr. House would /not/ be. Like he is probably not Walt Disney. And Marcus seems entirely too busy to make sure business is going smoothly in Vegas.

Oddly enough, I had actually considered the possibility of the person currently called House not being the original House, after all, if he is never seen in Public, no one would be able to tell if there has not in fact been multiple Houses over the years, but I'm sure we'll learn whatever we don't know about House now in the game, in any case. After all that talk about him, I can hardly imagine Obsidian NOT letting us learn more about him in the game.
