I saw somewhere that when you are doing a carrying/delivery objective it would give you steady exp while you were carrying the object but they decided to take it away to keep people from just hiding in a corner with it to rack up exp. So they apparently changed it so that you get exp for delivering it and extra for delivering it faster. I was wondering if anyone could clear up some more details on that. Cause I absolutely hate when in halo I would carry a flag all the way across a map and die right before the capture and someone would just take it that extra 2 steps and get all the credit, especially if they were the person that killed you. Couldn't Brink just set it up to where if you drop/die before delivering the objective then it gave you exp based on how far away you are from the destination. That way theres no holding and racking up exp and it entices the player to keep moving and get as close to the destination if not make it?
I don't do forums very often so idk how this stuff works, but if you could answer my question or just share what all you know about these sort of missions that would be cool.
You probably read that in HORSE's compendium, and I thank you for reading that before asking your question. Most new users don't.
Anyway, to answer your question, you probably do get some experience for carrying the intelligence most of the way. That is just speculation though, so don't hold me to it.
